Christians at the Adamsville church of Christ believe in the God of the Bible. The Bible, the inspired word of God.

The Church of Christ in the 21st century is not a denomination, but a direct continuation of the Lord's church established in the 1st century on the Day of Pentecost. Just as people in the first century became Christians upon obeying the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we at Adamsville are Christians only by obedience to the same gospel. Obedience to Christ's gospel consists of the following steps:

*Hearing and learning the Gospel of Jesus Christ So then faith comes by hearing , and hearing by the word of God. (NKJV) .
*Believing that Christ is the Son of God But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (NKJV) , And this is the will of Him who sent Me, that everyone who sees the Son and believes in Him may have everlasting life; and will raise him up at the last day. (NKJV) , he came to earth And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.(NKJV) , died on a cross to pay the price of death for our sins And He Himself is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only but also for the whole world.(NKJV) , In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.(NKJV) , was resurrected From that time Jesus began to show to His disciples that He must go to Jerusalem, and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.(NKJV) , and is now reigning in Heaven And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven. (NKJV) , looking unto Jesus, and the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. (NKJV) .
*Repenting of one's sins I tell you, no; but unless you repent you will all likewise perish. (NKJV) , realizing disobedience to God's law for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (NKJV) , For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. (NKJV) , Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness. and being determined to follow His teachings throughout life (1)What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? (2) Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live and longer in it? (3) Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? (4) Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. (5) For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection. (6) knowing this, that our old man was crucified with Him, that the body of sin might be done away with, that we should no longer be slaves to sin. (7) For he who has died has been freed from sin. (NKJV) .
*Confessing publicly that Jesus is the Son of the God Therefore whoever confesses Me before men, him I will also confess before My Father who is in heaven. (NKJV) , For with the heart one believes to righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made to salvation. (NKJV)
*Being baptized (immersed in water) for the remission of one's sins (1)What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? (2) Certainly not! How shall we who died to sin live and longer in it? (3) Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? (4) Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. And the enuch said, "See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized? (37) Then Philip said, "If you believe with all your heart, you may." And he answered ans said, "I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God." (38) So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the enuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. (39) Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the enuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. (NKJV)
*Remaining faithful until death Do no fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life. .

Just as New Testament people became Christians and were added to Christ's church by obeying these steps

, people today can do the same, and belong to the same church.
